*Applicants to the Day Program must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary institution.

By signing this application, I acknowledge I understand and accept the following policies:

Tuition and Financing Options
  • Accepted students must have a tuition plan in place prior to the start of classes.
  • Only students who possess a baccalaureate degree are eligible to receive federal financial aid.
  • Private loans and outside funding sources are accepted.
  • Payment plans are available.
Health Center Fee and Health Insurance (N/A for online students)
  • Day Program students are required to pay a mandatory Health Services Fee ($170/term)
  • All students enrolled in 9 or more units are required to purchase USD sponsored health insurance or demonstrate comparable coverage through the online waiver system.
Attendance Policy
  • Students are expected to attend all classes. There are no excused absences outside of documented medical emergencies. Any student who misses more than 25% of the scheduled classes in any subject will be dropped from the class roster and fail the course. Additional tuition will be charged to retake a class.
  • It is up to the discretion of each individual instructor as to how tardiness is factored in to the attendance policy.
Employment Assistance and Internships
  • Internships are optional but encouraged. Students may enroll in a 3-unit or 1-unit Internship course. Internships are unpaid and assigned by the Program Office. The 3-unit Internship includes classroom and on-site components, counts as one elective, and is included in the overall program tuition. The 1-unit Internship includes only the on-site component, does not replace any required coursework, and incurs additional tuition.
  • Employment Assistance is offered to all program graduates and is designed to work in conjunction with the graduate's own job search. Appointments and assistance are also available to current students.
Disability Services and Accommodations
Students interested in requesting accommodation should do so as soon as they accept an offer to
attend USD. Accommodations cannot be provided retroactively. Students may contact the Disability
and Learning Difference Resource Center at (619) 260-4655. (www.sandiego.edu/disability)
